running event

For all of you who are still not familiar with this interesting event, now it’s time to be. This winter-themed running event that took place for the first time in 2016 has instantly become quite popular among people, especially in UK.

Cancer Research UK Manchester Winter Run will now return once again to the Etihad Stadium on the second February’s Sunday! Last year, this event counted over 3,000 runners who proved their abilities through a 10km run! The event also features a shorter distance, 5 km and 2,5km in order to ensure the participation of more runners. Especially belonging to different categories and ages that want to support this cause.

One of the most interesting parts of this event, are the included competition themes which create the perfect winter atmosphere to motivate runners to keep going  and visitors to cheer for the best. Transforming the area into a true winter-spectacle has never been so fun. This event is followed by a Penguin Party. Also, many Swiss Chalet Drinks stations will be set on the course to keep the energy levels high!

The reason why this event is positioned during this time on the calendar, is because it aims to motivate people to start the year right. This, by making them active, especially during winter months when staying fit can be quite a challenge. Cancer Research UK Manchester Winter Run is expected to gather many experienced runners and newbies too. Just like last year, this event will be the first big run for almost 25% of all participants. The last day to submit an entry is on Tuesday, February the 7th.
