We are a small team in Parker Colorado although about 50% of our members are scattered over the US with a few overseas too. We are embarking on our 10th year together. Our veterans are beginning to garner national and world level qualifications at both short and long course, on-road and off-road. We have won team titles at USAT team nationals and HIM, two athletes Kona qualified. The bread and butter remains the new athletes with fresh eyes for the sport and because of that we have a broad base in what distance is focused on-short course, middle course, and long course racing. Every athlete was a beginner once and I try to maintain that philosophy with even seasoned athletes to create inclusion in our small team. Some athletes also enjoy focusing on races in a singular way-competing in swimming events, or cycling events, or road and trail running. My philosophy is that this not only sharpens the weapon for each individual but it also helps create variety, preventing burn out as well as repetitive injury. Well-rounded athletes make healthy athletes.

I began coaching competitive swimming in the 1990's and discovered great joy in helping athletes realize potential. In 2012, I made the shift to triathlon. Long history of endurance as a young athlete enjoying mentoring by top level coaches myself, I felt I had something to contribute. As my life shifted from a collegiate athlete into adulthood at middle distance running, swimming, Cat II cyclist, then later as a triathlete. Still compete, nationally ranked with many podiums, national level appearances, and ITU Worlds in Lausanne 2019. Nowadays, I compete to stay fit enough to ride, swim or run with the athletes I coach but my primary focus is on their growth. Far less about me, other than having the ability to keep up with them.
