My name is Nathan Dressel; I am 28 years old and currently training to get my USAT Elite license. I am competitive at the Olympic and half-iron triathlon distances. I got my start in endurance sports over 10 years ago when I began taking part in 12 and 24 hour mountain bike races. A friend dragged me to my first triathlon in 2006 and as soon as I crossed the finish line, I was hooked and have been racing and improving ever since.

In 2004 I joined the Army quickly progressed through rank and specialty schooling. In 2007 I donned my Green Beret and was assigned to a Special Forces team based in Washington State as the medical sergeant. In addition to trauma, a large part of my training focused around sport injury prevention and recovery and I have recieved my licenses for EMT, CPR, ACLS, PHTLS, and ATP. I left Active Duty military service in 2010 to further my education and persue my triathlon goals. As a coach, I am USAT Level 1 certified, and USA Cycling Level 3 certified.
