After completing my first sprint triathlon in the mid 90's I fell in love with the sport and set my sites on completing a full distance Ironman race before I turned 40. Several years and two children later, after being out of the sport for a while, I re-entered triathlon by competing in the Timberman 1/2 Iron in 2004. Completing that in about 6 hours I figured I would go for the big one and signed up for the 2006 Ironman Lake Placid. I finished in just under 14 hours and was even more excited about the sport than ever. Since 2006 I've completed Ironman Lake Placid 2008, 2010, 2013, Age Group Nationals 2011, Ironman Mont Tremblant 2015, Sea to Summit Triathlon 2016 and several sprints and a few more 1/2 Ironman races. I am a USAT Level I Coach, ACE Certified Personal Trainer and CPR/AED Certified.
