One on One Coaching

One on one coaching is our top level of coaching. As a one-on-one athlete both your individual coach and our team of coaches work to make sure you are able to achieve your athletic goals. We take your training and racing seriously and will strive to help you achieve your goals.

    Our one-on-one coaching service offers:
  • Dedicated coach to work with the athlete on a day-to-day basis
  • Initial meeting in person or via phone or skype to get to know you and your goals
  • Development of Yearly Training Plan (YTP) that includes all races
  • Training Peaks Premium account
  • Detailed daily workouts written in 3-4 week blocks on Training Peaks
  • Your coach responds to workouts logged in Training Peaks on at least a weekly basis
  • Athlete has unlimited access to their coach via e-mail, text and phone calls as scheduled
  • Customized race plan based on training metrics for “A” races and phone call to review race plan and questions
  • Specific assistance on race fueling and mental approaches to training and racing
  • Swim stroke analysis and run analysis either in person or via video as needed
  • Field-based lactate threshold testing to determine heart rate zones
  • Specific strength, core and cross training workouts to address limiters and prevent injury
  • Sonic Endurance training gear

Targeted Race Plans

Targeted Race Plans are 12 to 16 week training plans that are individually built for athletes focusing on a specific goal race. Targeted race plans are available for 5k, 10k, 13.1 mile, 26.2 mile, Sprint Triathlon and Olympic Triathlon distance races.
Training for 70.3 and 140.6 mile distances is available through our One-on-One Coaching service.

    Our targeted race planning service offers:
  • Pricing is a one-time fee, paid upfront
  • Develop the entire 12 or 16 week plan at the outset in Training Peaks
  • Training Peaks Basic account
  • Initial field-based lactate threshold testing to determine heart rate zones
  • Unlimited access to coach via e-mail, text and scheduled phone calls.
  • Changes to the daily workouts as needed
  • Pre-race phone call to address your race plan along with any other questions or concerns

I am a USAT Level 1 triathlon coach.  My interest is working with athletes on a one-on-one basis to overcome limiters and achieve personal bests. My coaching philosophy is that each athlete is unique and coaching focuses on determining each athlete’s individual strengths and weaknesses, designing a program and individual workouts to progressively address the athlete's weaknesses while maintaining the athlete’s strengths. This is accomplished by closely monitoring an athlete's qualitative and quantitative responses to training.

My approach to training programs and workouts is look at the athlete holistically with an understanding of the importance of the athlete’s ability to recover. I place special focus on training athletes for long course events and working with athletes who are planning to jump up to longer events.

I have participated in triathlon since 2006 and have raced in over 50 events including five 140.6 races. I currently focus on long course racing.

I began coaching runners and triathletes in 2011 and have successfully coached athletes of all abilities to personal records and first-time completion of long course event distances.
