Kim Dunker Reistad grew up swimming competitively at the age of 5. Through her younger years she dabbled in various team sports, thriving off the competition. In her Senior year of high school she ran cross country and ultimately went onto the University of Tampa, running four years of cross country and three years of track. She was a team leader all four years and raced in three national championships. During her college years she started to compete in triathlons as cross training and as a way to stay healthy for her running season. But soon she found that her true love was, in fact, triathlons. In 2005, Kim joined the Timex Elite Ameatur and raced for them for three years. In 2008, Kim turned professional with Team Sport Beans/NTTC. After a year of racing Pro Kim decided to create her own elite amateur team and has been co-mananging and racing for Dream Believe TRI triathlon team. Not only has Kim experienced triathlon and sports as an elite athlete she has also spent a lot of time coaching at triathlon clinics and working among some elite coaches. She has found thru her experiences as an athlete and a coach she can create dynamic training plans that fit every athlete.
Since graduating college, Kim has coached over sixty triathletes, runners, cyclists, and swimmers. She focuses on helping them select appropriate goals and guiding them towards achieving them. Her positive attitude motivates her athletes and helps them accomplish more than what they set out to do!
