Always Individualized Coaching

 Victory's Edge coaching is always personalized and never "cookie-cutter." We build individual coaching plans based on your personal goals, your individual strengths, weaknesses, and physiological characteristics. Each coaching plan is also designed with your other daily obligations in mind, so that you get the most out of both your life and your workouts.

At Victory's Edge, we take multiple factors into the construction of your training plans, including seemingly innocuous factors like stress levels, rest, psychological and physical health, and other variables which have less immediately obvious consequences on your results.

At Victory's Edge we strive to develop a close relationship with each individual in order to maximize the training experience for optimal results. And, with an e-mail or a phone call, athletes can promptly correspond directly with their coach.

Victory's Edge provides age group athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all ages and abilities with professional, effective and courteous coaching and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Is the program for me?

Private coaching is for triathletes of all levels of fitness and experience. The only requirement for you to get started is to have the basic equipment necessary to swim, bike, and run. Your customized program can be designed for any distances from a sprint triathlon all the way up to an Ironman.  You set the goal and we will give you the map to get there.  Tri and you can Master Anything in Life

 

Customized to your goals, current fitness, schedule and lifestyle, this is a year-round (minimum 6 months), periodized training program to help you reach peak performance at designated events.  The program is based on the most current sports science available, as well as Valerie's extensive coaching and competitive experience. At the heart of the program is constant communication and evaluation with the coach, ensuring the continued "fit" and success of the training plan.

 

Each personalized coaching package includes:

Set-up:

  • Initial consultation to discuss your history, goals and other training considerations
  • Identify personal weaknesses and strengths
  • Identify and prioritize race season
  • Heart rate sub-max test & zone set testing session.
  • Identify HR training zones for cycling and running, as well as goal pace for swimming

Private Coaching

  • Annual Training Plan mapped with your long term goals
  • Detailed monthly weekly and daily program of purposeful training
  • Weekly training programs detailing every aspect of your training
  • Strength training recommendations included in your weekly schedule
  • Unlimited email interaction to discuss your training progress and related matters
  • Equipment overview, evaluation and recommendations
  • Pre-race consultations to discuss race strategy and preparation
  • Post-race consultations to discuss your race result and for future planning
