My coaching philosophy for short-course or mid-distance triathlons revolves around five pillars of precision, balance, mental fortitude, effective communication, and lifestyle integration. By focusing on these pillars, athletes can achieve their goals and cultivate a lasting love for the sport. Precision in Training o Tailored Plans: Use the TriDot AI platform as a base training plan, and I customize with considerations for individual lifestyle demands and goals. o Time-Efficiency: Optimize training by identifying and prioritizing key workouts to ensure efficient planning for each athlete. Mental Resilience and Race Strategy o Mindset Mastery: Success in short-course triathlon often hinges on mental toughness. Coaching focuses on developing a positive and resilient mindset, enabling athletes to push through negative 1-second decisions, and maintain focus on overall workout or race day performance. Effective Communication and Feedback o Continuous Feedback: Review and provide feedback on each workout. This feedback evolves the training plan based on daily progress leading to optimal performance. Additionally, we set aside two thirty-minute calls per week to build a strong and trusting relationship. Lifestyle Integration: o Sustainable Approach: Training for short-course triathlons should enhance an athlete's life, not dominate it. I collaborate with athletes to integrate training with their overall lifestyle, promoting balance and longevity in the sport.
