This event was canceled months ago due to pending construction projects at the race venue.
Ready for one of the most exciting new triathlon events in the area? Get your "game face" on for the Battle of the Potomac! Located at picturesque National Harbor, this Sprint race promises to be a favorite of athletes and spectators alike. After a 750m swim, athletes will ride 9.6 challenging miles on a 2-loop course, followed by a 5K run along the water and on the Wilson Bridge Trail. Finish in front of the iconic sculpture, The Awakening. We have two great race series, the MTS and the VTS, separated by the Potomac River and this race will pit the "best of the best" of both Series against each other for bragging rights! We will have an Open category, and Age Group athletes will be grouped according to Series standings to date and finishes in earlier 2013 MTS and VTS races. Choose your "weapons", tighten your helmet and get ready for The Battle!
