The Tri Faster Beginner Swim Training program is perfect for beginner to intermediate swimmers who have spent little to no time training in a formal swimming group. The program offers the perfect blend of stroke improvement drills and basic swim sets to simultaneously improve your stroke technique and swimming endurance.
Practices are led by a supportive on deck coach who will help you to swim more efficiently. In addition to learning better technique, you will swim short swim sets to transition from technique learning to true swim training.
This program is perfect for graduates of the Tri Faster Swim Better program, beginner Masters swimmers, and triathletes who feel like their swim leg is their weak link. Freestyle (front crawl) will be the primary focus of this program, but backstroke and breast stroke will also be covered.
Prerequisite: Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards or meters non-stop freestyle with an ability to swim with your face in the water and utilize rotary breathing (taking a breath to the side). Tri Faster is happy to provide private instruction by appointment for athletes who are working towards this prerequisite. If you can swim 4 lengths of the pool in 2 minutes or faster, we ask that you register for our regular Tri Faster Swim Training program as you are too gosh darn fast for this group.
