Come join us for an incredible, mid winter obstacle race! This is going to be a 10 hour party with an 8 hour obstacle race thrown in for a good measure!! The winner of this race will be the person to complete the most laps on our 5 mile long obstacle course in 8 hours! We will be offering a heated venue with a buffet set up all day! Food and drink are included with entry fee! We will have music, games, and contests to keep the spirits up for this awesome event! Sign up early as space is limited and you don't want to miss out on this fun time! Teams are also encouraged!! We have a great prize list and some super trophies! Everyone that finishes at least one lap, gets a completion medal! If you only want to do one lap, thats great!! Come and enjoy the festivities and party with us. BYOB and drink responsibly! As always, there is no parking fee or spectator fee, however, if spectators want to take advantage of the food buffet and heated indoor area, a $25 fee will apply.
Course Information:
Our 150 acre, 5 plus mile long course has about 35 obstacles and challenges to test your strength, endurance, and mental stability! Hopefully mother nature will bless us with snow, making our course that much more fun! We will pack groom part of the course, and some parts will be left with deep snow. snowshoes are allowed as are backcountry skis, but you will not need them. We will after an area for your gear boxes. Bring plenty of changes of clothes, the course will be cold, muddy and wet. You will check in at the completion of each lap and allowed to take as much rest as you need. The course is unmanned, although the owner and several staff will be running the race, and will be on the lookout for anyone having difficulties. We are supplying lots of hot foods and will have the buffet going all day long! This is going to be a challenging race, but we will make it fun and exciting for both spectators and competitors. Please come prepared! Bring several changes of clothes, sox, underwear, hats, gloves, goggles, gel packs, hydration packs, etc etc etc.... Check out our website for more details!
Directions:
From Albany and South: take 87 north to exit 20 lake George. Take 149 East to vermont rte 4 east. After entering Vermont, take Exit 2, Fair Haven. Turn left at bottom of ramp onto rte 22a north. Travel 7 miles and Look for the Shale Hill Adventure tower on your left!! Turn left and you will see the parking signs!
From New Hampshire and East: Take Rte 4 through Queechee and Killington, heading toward Rutland, VT. Follow Rte 4 west through Rutland and head toward New York. Take Exit 2, Fair Haven. At bottom of ramp, turn right and travel 7 miles until you see the Shale Hill Adventure Tower on your left!! Turn Left and you will see the parking signs.

This is a fun event so please don't be intimidated! That being said, for those of you looking for a challenge, you will get it!! Our course is second to none! We have obstacles that will challenge even the fittest athletes! We will have penalties for obstacles not completed (specific penalty information will be provided day of race, hehehe!)
I have people asking if it is ok to do just one lap? OF COURSE!!!! We want you out here to have fun and challenge yourself!! If you do one lap, then you get to party more!!
This is our first winter race, So lets make it a great one! Why not come out and set the course record!! We expect most people to finish between 2 and 3 laps. The pros can expect to complete 5 laps (although we have a gentleman that says he is shooting for 7!! )
