    Bike - 22 miles
  • Challenge yourself against the great Western Mountains of Maine!
  • The ROMP offers an incredible bike course that will push your limits, but reward you with amazing vistas.
  • The first transition will take place on the Town Park fields. Exit left out of the park, and head on route 4 toward Oquossoc.
  • After the turnaround, go right on Mingo Road, then right back onto Route 4, followed by left on Dallas Hill Road. This will lead you up to the Rangeley Lakes Trail Center (RLTC) yurt, where the second transition will take place.

    Run - 4.5 miles
  • The point to point run is entirely on the Rangeley Lakes Trail System. Athletes will enter the trail from the RLTC lot (T2) and head toward Saddleback Mountain.
  • The last mile of the run features a very challenging climb up to the Base Lodge, but also provides some incredible views of Rangeley Lake.
  • Please note: The ROMP run has some fairly technical parts of the trail (roots, rocks, etc), so it is important that you have some experience with this type of terrain. We recommend that you spend part of your training on trails, in order to develop a comfort on them.
