We are interested in growing our Outdoorsman Summit event.  With that in mind, this year, we have added an exciting option for those sportsmen who want to learn but also experience.  The First Annual Paddle Pedal and Pace Competition is an unique form of a triathlon, and an event the entire family will enjoy.  Participants paddle, cycle, and run through the roads and waterways in Southeast Wyoming.  Teams of three or individuals, will Paddle two miles at the Hawk Springs Reservoir in their choice of nonmotorized water craft, Pedal on a bicycle 37 miles from the Stage Stop Station by Hawk Springs to Albin Community Center, and Pace 3 miles around the track in Albin.  You can chose to compete in one, two, or all three stages, or get a team of three together and share the excitement.  You can't brag if you don't paddle pedal and pace.  What are you waiting for?  Sign up today.  Visit us online at www.albinwy.com or like us on facebook.  We even enjoy the old fashion phone call at 307-246-3386.

Course Information:

Hawk Springs Reservoir is a small lake in southeast Wyoming.  It is host to the first stage of the competition.  After the paddle stage, the bicyclists will be waiting at the Stagecoach Stop on Highway 85.  If an individual is doing both of these stages, they will be bussed to the Stagecoach Stop.  The cyclist will travel to Lagrange Wyoming and then on to Albin Wyoming along a picturesque and moderate elevation increased highway.  There will be a rest area in Lagrange about 10 miles into the ride and another between LaGrange and Albin about 20 miles into the ride.  Once the bikers arrive in Albin, the last stage of the race will begin.  Runners will pace around the school track for three miles.

Other Info:

After the race, there will be classes, demonstrations, and activities for the Summit.  Stay and take a class on Dutch Oven Cooking, lure tying, target shooting, archery, and more.  There will also be live music and food vendors.  Each entry into the competition will receive one ticket for lunch and one beer voucher.
