Beko Elk Triathlon is currently the
biggest triathlon event in Poland on the Olympic Distance.
Including 500 people on the Olympic distance and 100 three-people teams on
Relay Race competition might gather 800 contestants. Each contestant have to
achieve 1,5 km swimming (on Elckie Lake), 40 km riding on bike (passing through
small localities) and 10 km running (over the Elckie Lake). In each category
the main award is 8000 PLN (near 2000 Euro).
To add splendor after the competition the will
perform Polish top folk-rock band ‘Blenders’, who are known as Polish Red Hot
The date of the event (July 20, 2013) is
perfectly fit to the European triathlon calendar. You will find more detailed

Elk is the city in North-East Poland (180 km from Kaunas Airport), near the border to Lithuania.
For the organization of Beko Elk Triathlon
is responsible the same group, which prepared two editions of Herbalife Susz
Triathlon 2011 and 2012.
