Lyon College is located in Batesville, Arkansas, 90 miles from Little Rock and 110 miles from Memphis. You may use the interactive map at http://www.lyon.edu/directions-to-campus.htm to obtain turn-by-turn driving directions.

From Little Rock, simply follow Highway 167 north to Batesville.

From Memphis, take Highway 55 north and turn west on Highway 64. At Bald Knob, turn north on Highway 167 to Batesville.

From St. Louis, follow Highway 67 to Newport, Arkansas, turn west on Highway 14 then north on Highway 167 to Batesville.

From Dallas, follow Highway 30 to Little Rock and then Highway 167 to Batesville.

• The Ozark Foothills Literacy Project presents the "Bad Boys Kids Triathlon for Literacy," to be held at Lyon College in Batesville, AR, on Saturday, July 14, 2012. All girls and boys, ages 5-16, are welcome.
• Each triathlete will receive a fun T-shirt and finishers medal. Awards will be given to the top finishers in each age group (both girls and boys).
• The Bad Boys Kids Tri allows young athletes a fun and safe way to experience the excitement of this multi-sport event. This will be a morning of friendly competition and physical activity that can lead to a lifetime of fitness. A triathlete's age group is determined by the age the athlete will be on July 14, 2012. This event is designed for young athletes only. Parents may not accompany their child on any portion of the race and MUST adhere to any roped off areas or their child will be disqualified.
• The Bad Boys Kids Tri will consist of swimming, followed by a transition to cycling, and then a transition to running. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. Each wave will completely finish the swim, bike and run before the next wave enters the water. This will allow parents and spectators to catch all of the races. Participants do not need to be in a club to participate in the triathlon, but must be able to safely participate in all three sports to compete.
• It is the responsibility of the parent and child to review the course prior to the event. Maps will be available in the race packet. There will be visual directions given prior to the swimming portion, and a "rabbit" will be guiding the athletes on the cycling and running course.
• The cost of the Bad Boys Kids Tri is $20.00 through July 13, 2012. Online registration is available up to Friday, July 13 at 5:00p. Mail-in registration must be postmarked no later than July 6, 2012. Race day registration will be $25.00. There will be no refunds of registrations.
• Check-in/registration will open at 7:30 am on July 14, and will close at 8:45. The first race will begin promptly at 9:00 am.
