Great event in Wahweep Marina in Lake Powell near Lake Powell Resort. This event has an incredible landscape with red rock and beauty all around. It is a great way to finish off the triathlon season with a 70 degree water temp and 70 degree air temp.
Course Information:
The course starts at the State Line for Utah and Arizona. After a 750 Meter Sprint or 1500 Meter Olympic Swim you exit up a 400 yard boat ramp to the transition area. At the Transition Area you do a great 12.2 mile loop bike ride around Glen Canyon National Park roads. On this ride you will get high enough to overlook the Marina and see the incredible backdrop of Lake Powell. The Olympic course is done twice for 24.4 miles. The Run is an out and back course on some of the roads here at the park as well. The Sprint is 3.1 Miles and Olympic is 6.2 Miles.
Directions:
Head towards Page Arizona or Big Water Utah to get to this course. You will see Wahweep Marina and Glen Canyon National Park on the road.
