Description: 2009 Iron Pig Duathlon:
  • A duathlon that consists of a 3 mile run, 18 mile bike and 3 mile run.
  • This is the only duathlon in the world that has a leg of the race on an airport runway.
  • The race is open to Individuals and teams of two or three people. Come "Run The Runway"!

    Course Info: Duathlon Course Information:
  • The first 3 miles are on the Drake Airport runway! Yes...the runway!
  • An 18 mile bike that is an out and back course on Scenic Hwy 71.
  • The final 3 mile run is flat and fast as well. The finish is located just in front of the airport terminal.

  • Located just south of downtown Fayetteville at the Drake Municipal Airport on Hwy 71.

  • This course is geared to people looking for a challenge, but is not too hilly for an early season test.
  • A good first-time event for an individual or team or a great way to kickoff the race season for the seasoned athlete.
