The race is for solo or teams of 2 or 3 competitors. The Challenge begins at Magic Island in downtown Charleston, WV on Kanawha Boulevard to Daniel Boone Park. The first leg is a 4.2 mile run which is followed by a 4.2 mile paddle on the Kanawha River. The final leg is a 16.8 mile road bike course. The event is challenging but participant friendly. The race is for the experienced racer or a novice.
Course Information:
The course is flat and fast. The run and ride are on Kanawha Boulevard which runs parallel to the Kanawha River. The paddle, the run and the ride are not technical. This race features a scenic course without major climbs or turns.
Directions:
The race begins and ends at Magic Island on Kanawha Boulevard in Downtown Charleston, WV. The start and finish are beside the Kanawha River Bridge on Interstate 64. Take the Lee Street or Virginia Street Exits off of I-64 for easy access to the start area.
