Stearns Race Timing, LLC has expanded it efforts to bring multi sport events to Northeast Arkansas. We have listened to our multi sport athletes and added The moved the Gearhead Sprint Triathlon to Sunday June 18th and created the Stearns Race Timing Summer Duathlon on the same course the first Saturday in May. We have secured the park for 2013 for the First Saturday in May.

Craighead Forest Park located off Culberhouse Drive in South Jonesboro Arkansas will be the venue for the Gearhead Sprint Triathlon.  Run 1 and 2 will be the on the same course. on the loop on the park road, The 10.2 mile ride will be along scenic Crowley's Ridge.

The Stearns Race Timing Summer Duathlon will be a very beginner friendly.  We have a challenging yet fun run , a very well managed bike course and the park will be closed to traffic during the run.

Don't be deceived by the distances, this will be a short but very challenging  race.  The bike course will be rolling hills with a few climbs and the run course at the park has a very challenging climb about 1.5 miles into the run.

Each Duathlete registered will receive a goody bag full of cool swag. 

USA Triathlon membership card and picture ID will be required for packet pickup.  You must fill our USA Triathlon waiver at packet pick-up as well.

There will be early race packet pick-up on Saturday June  16, 2012 from 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Downtown Gearhead Store 230 S. Main Street, Jonesboro Arkansas.  You are highly encouraged to pick-up your packet on Saturday. 

Race day packet pick-up will begin Sunday June 17th at 6:00 am, with the transition area opening at 6:30 am.  Check-in/registration will close promptly at 7:30 am, and the transition area closing at 7:45 am.  Stearns Race Timing Summer Duathlon will begin promptly at 8:00 am.

The cost of the Stearns Race Timing Summer Duathlon is $60.00 through May 15, 2012 and $75.00 after May 15th for online registration. Online registration is available up to Friday June 15 at 5:00 PM.

All participants must be USA Triathlon members or purchase a one day event license for $10.00

Mail in registration cost is $70.00 through May 15, 2012 and $85.00 after May 15 and must be postmarked no later than June 10, 2012 Race day registration will be $85.00.  There will be no refunds of registrations.
