- Water's Edge Triathlon is a sprint tri that begins in the waters of Smith Lake, followed by a bike route on the peaceful rural blacktops of Kossuth County and finishing with a run on the grass trails around the lake, including a section through a gorgeous hall of evergreens.
- Do yourself or as a team of three. This race is fun for both beginners and veteran athletes.
- Medals awarded to the top three in each age group, according to USAT groups. Proceeds of the race support the Water's Edge Nature Center Foundation.
Directions:
Smith Lake is a few miles north of Algona. From the intersection of Highways 18 and 169 in town, take 169 North to the Smith Lake park and campground.
