Description: 2009 Tri Roanoke Valley Sprint Triathlon:
  • Join us for the 2nd annual Tri Roanoke Valley Sprint Triathlon. Tri Roanoke Valley is sponsored by the Halifax County Convention and Business Bureau.
    		•
    Course Info: 300 yd pool swim - 14.8 mile bike - 5K run:
  • The swim will be located in the Aquatic Center of the TJ Davis Recreation Center.
  • The 14.8 mile Bike Course will be an out and back that allows for both town and country settings. The course will give participants a taste of rolling hills and flat terrain. This is a scenic but challenging bike course, crossing over beautiful Roanoke Rapids Lake.
  • The Run will be one 3.1 mile loop. This run course will be a challenge to all. The rolling hills course will take you through local communities and along the scenic Roanoke River development.

  • Roanoke Rapids is located off of Interstate 95 in eastern North Carolina - 10 miles from the Virginia Line.
