2012 Grady Williams Memorial Freedom Days Triathlon:

  • The Grady Willians Memorial Freedom Days Triathlon is a fun and challenging Olympic distance triathlon that brings amateur and professional athletes from across the Southwest and Four Corners region to Farmington, New Mexico.
  • The Freedom Days triathlon features a unique swim/run/bike race format, wonderfully challenging bike course and the best course volunteers in the southwest.

    • Course Information:



  • The triathlon starts at Farmington Lake with a 1.5K out and back swim.
  • The second leg of the race features a 10k cross-country run from Farmington Lake to Lions Wilderness Park and the last leg is a very hilly 40k out and back bike course.
  • The bike course travels west, with traffic, along Pinon Hills Blvd., crosses the La Plata Highway, and continues to the turn-around point at Troy King Road. The race wraps up at Lions Wilderness Park Amphitheatre where family and friends can wait to cheer on participants as they cross the finish line.
