9th Annual Tri the Wildwoods Triathlon & 5k
The Wildwood Tri is the original Jersey Shore triathlon and has developed into a staple event for the experienced triathlete as well as the newbie weekend warrior.
The conditions for this event vary from year and year and athletes will tell you to come prepared for anything that mother nature can throw at you.
What makes the Wildwood Tri worth it? Incredible course, being surrounded by those who share your passion for sport.....and a hot buffet waiting for you at the finish!

Course Info:

The swim will be ¼ mile rectangular box swim in the ocean going with the current.
The bike will begin at 13th and JFK. The Bike Course is Completely Closed To Traffic. Cones, arrows, and many volunteers will be assisting with the course. However, it is up the athlete to know the course!
The run is 1.55 miles out and 1.55 miles on the beach. The finish will be on the beach.

Directions:

From the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey:
- Use exit 6 towards North Wildwood.
- Follow 147 into North Wildwood ( this road turns into New Jersey Ave once in North Wildwood).
- After the passing two bridges (one large, one small) you will pass five lights to 13th and New Jersey Ave.
- Make a left on 13th and New Jersey Ave and drive straight to the Beach.

Wild Child Splash & Dash:
A Splash and Dash, known as an Aquathlon, is a fun and fast-growing sport that combines running and swimming. The run can take place on a trail, a road or a path. Similarly, the swim can take place in any body of water – a pool, a reservoir, or an ocean. USA Triathlon’s Splash and Dash Aquathlon Series will feature a swim/run combination, while the most common aquathlon as athletes progress in age and level utilizes a run/swim/run combination.
Aquathlon Distances:
Ages 7 - 8: 100 meter Swim & 1k runAges 9-10: 100 meter Swim & 1k runAges 11-12: 200 meter Swim & 2k runAges 13-15: 200 meter Swim & 2k run
