2012 XTERRA Hickory Knob Off Road Triathlon:
The only XTERRA Triathlon in South Carolina.
Hickory Knob State Park in McCormick, SC is hosting XTERRA Hickory Knob.
Open water lake swim, off road bike, trail run. Nothing here too technical.
This is a great race for those looking to give off-raod triathlons a try and for those with some time in the dirt!

Open water swim 800 meters in Strom Thurmond Lake.
Mountain bike 2 loops of the 7.2 mile Lakeview Trail.
Trail run 5 miles taking in the Turkey Ridge Loop Trail.

Hickory Knob State Park Resort:
Hickory Knob State Park is the host venue for the trail runs and the triathlon.
Located on the shores of Strom Thurmond Lake, there is a multitude of activities for those racing, their families and friends.
Hickory Knob is located at 1591 Resort Drive, McCormick, SC 29835.
It is approximately: 2.5 hours from Atlanta, 1 hour 45 min from Columbia, 3.5 hours from Savannah, and 1 hour 45 min from Greenville, SC.

The field is limited to 200 individuals and 20 relay teams (male, female, and coed).
There will be wave starts.
Wave starts will be determined prior to the race date and posted at packet pick up.
