2012 Portland Triathlon:
The only major triathlon ever held in downtown Portland, Oregon.
Swim beneath the iconic bridges, ride amongst the steel and concrete giants, run through parks and paths teeming with urban life.
The Portland Triathlon offers individual Sprint and Olympic distance races and a relay Olympic distance triathlon.
The race is capped at 1,000 participants and sold out in 2009, 2010 & 2011.

Swim: The swim begins in scenic Cathedral Park, below the St. Johns Bridge.
Bike: The bike course climbs out of Cathedral Park and heads north towards Kelly Point. Olympic racers will complete two loops of the bike course, with the sprint competitors completing one loop. Participants should expect a fast ride over great pavement. Run: The run course follows portions of the historic Portland marathon course, as Olympic triathletes complete two 5k loops and sprint racers complete one. The race finishes back in Cathedral Park, where you and your family will find excellent food and Deschutes beer to complete a beautiful day.
