2012 Wallis Sands Sprint Triathlon:
This is a beautiful, scenic sprint triathlon with half the bike course and the whole run course are on the seacoast.
This race has an ocean swim off the beach in Rye, NH and both the bike and run course are fast and flat.
Wetsuits are recommended, but not required.

Course Info:
|
 Swim - 1/3 Mile Swim The 1/3 mile ocean swim will follow a rectangle route starting on the beach just south of Wallis Sands State Park and ending at the park. The transition area will be a short run up the beach to the parking lot of the State Park.
Bike - 14.5 Mile Bike The Bike Course will be flat and fast, traveling north along the seacoast, turning inland for a bit through the Town of Rye then turning back north for a tailwind-aided (keep your fingers crossed!) finish along the coast on Route 1A.
Run - 5K Run The Run Course will be a flat loop starting north along the coast on Route 1A, turning around at the Odiorne State Park entrance and returning south along the coast to the transition area/finish line.

There is plenty of parking in the Wallis Sands State Beach Parking lot.
Athlete and guest parking will be on the left side of the lot.
Bikers will be using the main gate to exit and enter the park on the bike course.
In order to ensure bikers' safety, any cars who wish to enter the park between 8am and 8:45 may have to wait for bikers to do so.
Friends and family watching the race should be parked by 8am to avoid any traffic hassles.
