This is a women's only event The TriGirl Super Sprint Triathlon will consist of a 200 yard open water lake swim, 8 mile bike and a 2 mile run. The TriGirl Super Sprint Duathlon will consist of a 1/2 mile run, 8 mile bike and a 2 mile run.

Swim: The swim takes place in Lake Houston and will be triangular with buoys and a swim noodle line following the entire course for safety and to distinctly mark the course.
For those doing the Duathlon, the first run will go out 1/4 of a mile and turn around and into the transition for the bike portion. The duathlon run will start with the first wave of swimmers at 7am.
Bike: The bike will exit Deussen Park and go into Dwight D. Eisenhower Park, where you will make ONE loop before going back into Deussen Park for the finish of the bike segment. Run: The run is out and back on paved roads and jeep trails. Wave Start: This event will start at 7:00am with the first wave of athletes. The number of waves and time between waves will be determined by the number of athletes entered.

USAT Sanctioning: This event will be sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Everyone MUST have either an annual membership or a One Day Membership ($12) to race in this event. You can go to www.usatriathlon.org/member-services to get an annual membership. One Day Memberships can be obtained at packet pickup. You cannot race without one of the above memberships. All racers will race the age they will be on December 31, 2011. The One Day Membership is NOT included in your race fees.
Awards: Awards will be given to overall finisher, overall master finisher and 5 deep in 5 year age groups in the sprint triathlon. The relay award distribution will be determined by the number of entrants in the relay division. The duathlon awards will be given to Overall, Masters and 3 deep in 5 year age groups and 3 deep in relays.
Packet Pickup: There will be registration and packet pickup on Friday, May 11th at ON THE RUN CLEAR LAKE, 2427 Bay Area Blvd. Houston, Texas 77058 (281-480-5388) 3-6 pm and Saturday, May 12th, at TRI ON THE RUN, 5535-B Memorial Drive, Houston 832-673-0600 from 10am - 4pm. NO RACE DAY PACKET PICK UP OR REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR PACKET PRIOR TO RACE DAY. No refunds
Shirts: You are not guaranteed your shirt size if you register after April 1st. Please be aware that we will not be able to switch shirt sizes at packet pickup. Shirts will be made from a technical material and will be a women’s cut shirt so please size accordingly. You need to size up if you like your shirts roomy. If you register late, we can't guarantee you a shirt at packet pick up, but we will make sure we get you one in the mail if we have to order more.
Chip Pickup: This race will be timed by Run Wild Sports Timing. You will be required to wear a timing chip on your ankle to cross the finish line. CHIPS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON RACE MORNING FROM 5:30 am-6:30am. Participants will be responsible for lost chips. You MUST notify race personnel immediately if you drop out of the race at any time.
