The infamous Koppenberg Race, featuring the climb (17% grade). This iconic Boulder Spring Classic has some new twists sure to excite and add to the prestige. For 2012 the Koppenberg is the kick off event to the Tour of Colorado!
Directions:
DIRECTIONS: Superior, CO. Travel Highway 36 north of Denver, exit at the Superior exit, McCaslin Blvd. Head south on McCaslin and make your first right into the Target/ Costco shopping complex. Follow signs and marshals to Parking. From Boulder, Gunbarrel, Louisville ride your bike!
PARKING: Please do not park in front of the large shopping centers (ie Costco or Target), but at the far end of the parking lots near the registration area.
REGISTRATION TENT: Race day registration and pre-registration number pick-up will take place in the far corner of the CostCo Parking lot. Look for the tents/registration flag/port-o-potties.

COURSE: The Koppenberg is a 5.5 mile road race circuit, with 300ft of elevation gain per lap, and includes 2 miles on a packed dirt road.
WHEEL SUPPORT: Wheels In / Wheels Out
FEES: Pre-Registration $35, Race Day $40, 2nd Race is $15
PARKING: Parking is available by the registration tents by Whole Foods / RTD Park n' Ride just off McCaslin
FIELD SIZE: All fields are limited to 110 racers. All USAC rules apply. Non USAC Riders will need to purchase a 1-day $10 license. Registration will close 20 min prior to the start of each category. Yellow line rule is in effect.
