2012 Lake Logan International Triathlon:
The 2012 Lake Logan International Triathlon has been designated a Mid Atlantic Region Special Qualifier.
Anyone finishing in the top 33% of their age group will qualify for the USAT National Championships on August 18 in Burlington, Vermont.
The original triathlon at Lake Logan celebrates its 7th anniversary as part of the Lake Logan Multi Sport Festival.
The international distance race has quickly become one of the premier races in the Southeast, attracting athletes from across the country.
Lake Logan may be the most beautiful triathlon venue in the country.

Course Info:

Swim:
The swim in this pristine mountain lake has a unique course starting near the main docks but finishing under the highway bridge in the mouth of the river.
Bike:
The bike course is unusual for the mountains in that it is mostly flat and very fast.
It is a lollipop shaped course that takes riders to and from Canton.
Run:
The run course is an out-and-back along a two-lane road along the river.
It has a 1-2% grade on the outbound leg, almost guaranteeing a negative split on the downhill inbound leg.

Minimum Age
You must be 13 years old to participate in the Lake Logan International Triathlon.

Event organizers reserve the right to alter, postpone or cancel the race in the interest of participant and/or public safety.
Cut-Off Time
All participants must complete the race in 4 hours or less. The race director reserves the right to pull anybody from the course race if it is determined they will not complete the race in 4 hours.
Timing
The Lake Logan Triathlon will be timed using the ChampionChip Tming System. (5 splits provided)
Results
Overall results will be posted at the race site on race day. Final results, with splits will be posted on this site and at http://www.setupevents/ by Sunday, August 5.
