The event is held in Bass River State Forest Park. The swim is in the calm & clear waters of Absegami Lake with the start on a well maintained and clean beach area. It`ll probably be one of your most enjoyable swims. The bike course is primarily right turns on country roads with wide shoulders. The run course is flat run through the woods and paths in the park. - - - The HALF DUATHLON will consist of a 3.1 mile run, and the same course as that of the triathlon for the second and third legs.- - -

Awesome lake and beach, secure transition area, bathrooms and showers at registration area, well marked swim, bike, and run courses, lots of volunteers, lots of aid stations, water bottle exchange half way through bike. Breathtaking views, great people, amazing food, and a very memorable experience. - - -

The event is truly a gem to experience. Bring family, friends, barbecue supplies, and camping equipment if youre up to staying the night before. If youre interested in staying a night at Bass River you can do so with your tent or if you move quickly reserve a space in one of their Lean-Tos, Shelters, or Cabins. Camping at Bass River is just another reason this area is so great! We look forward to seeing you at the race!- - -
