Course Info: SWIM: .5 miles
  • You and a few hundred of your closest friends will head up river before jumping ship from the SternWheeler into the protected cove just west of Goverment Island.
  • Look for fast times with the smooth swimming conditions.
  • There will be a timing mat on board so dont worry if you are not the first person to jump. You will be compensated any time difference in your finish time.

    T1:
  • This race has two (2) transition areas. Transition Area 1 is located about 200 yards from the swim finish at Goverment Cove.
  • As you enter T1, yell out your number, grab your bike, get your bag, change into your biking gear, bag what ever swim gear you are leaving, and Go!!

    BIKE: 12.2 miles
  • Exit Transition Area 1 onto Forest Lane.
  • Go left onto Frontage Road and right onto Herman Creek. Ride to the end of Herman Creek and turn around.
  • Athlete #s will be marked by course monitors at the turn-around.
  • Continue back to Frontage and turn left. Proceed to Forest Lane and turn right all the way back to WaNaPa and turn right.
  • In less than a mile you will reach the entrance to the Marine Park. Turn right and proceed to Transition Area 2.
  • Lots of climbing.

    T2:
  • Transition Area 2 is located at Marine Park.
  • This is where the bike leg will end and also where you will board the Sternwheeler.
  • As you run your bike into T2, yell out your number, rack your bike, get your bag, change into your running gear.
  • Leave what ever bike gear you are leaving at your bike, and Go!!

    RUN: 3.1 miles
  • A simple 3.1 mile out-and-back run, You are almost done.
  • Remember 100 slots to the Championship race in San Diego are up for grabs so go as fast as you can.
  • Not too much climbing. Just head out to WaNaPa and go right.
  • In .6 mile you will go under The Bridge of the Gods and onto the Trail for another .95 miles.
  • If you have the time, take a look. The Trail is beautiful (and all paved).
