Description:	2012 Ten Penny Shamrock Duathlon and 5K: Glastonbury’s beautiful country hosts this annual 5K run, 26K bike, 5K run. Start and transition at Glastonbury High School (GHS). Both runs take place on wide, neighborhood streets. The bike is a 26K loop of rolling hills through scenic farmland and historic Glastonbury. Great food and beer at finish at the historic Hubbard Green. Plenty of parking at GHS. Start Time: 7:30 a.m. Glastonbury High School, Hubbard Street, Glastonbury

HMF uses multi-sport races to line their pockets and to subsidize the marathon they run in the fall. So plan to be in for poor tidal timing on the swim, sparsely volunteered and marked bike course and backward and cramped transition areas. Oh and I almost forgot the long delayed award ceremony with no prizes (hats, riben and t-shirts don’t count), no money off next year’s race for top age groupers. If you would like a true multi-sport experience in CT try any of the Team Mossman events http://teammossman.com/events.html Stick with the best

Bathrooms or lack of them at this race. I think they had about half as many as needed.
