GREAT AMAZING RACE for YOUTH

Flying Colors Sports is proud to present the GREAT AMAZING RACE to build healthier and more active families! We are committed to providing kids with opportunities to experience the thrill of running in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

The race is a fun and memory-making activity for adults (parents & grandparents) to do with a kid. From start to finish, it's the most invigorating outdoor activity for families to do together, ever! Whether you run, jog, walk or watch, it'll be an experience they will never forget!  This is a great activity for parent-child and grandparent-child teams!

The top 25 teams will qualify for the National Championship Race and a chance to win $2,000!  The top 3 teams from will receive free entry into the National Championship Race.

Help us recruit teams and promote awareness by telling your friends, classmates and co-workers to join in the fun.  Official Race Site: http://greatamazingrace.com/.

WHAT:  Patterned after the popular television show The Amazing Race, teams will race around a 1 mile cross country course that includes up to 8 fun-filled stations. The clue cards provided at each station directs the team to perform a task (game, relay, obstacle course, etc.) before proceeding to the next station. The team that completes the tasks and reaches the finish line with the fastest overall time is declared the winner. Contestants should be prepared to get a little dirty and wet - it's part of the fun!

To ensure fairness and safety of all involved, some of the tasks my be slightly modified for female and youth participants. Head start tokens can be purchased at any time prior to start of the race. Teams will receive a 1 minute head start for every additional $5.00 submitted (up to 4 minutes).

The course layout is spectator friendly, to allow family and friends to tag along and take photos for the scrap book. This is a rain or shine event! Racers & spectators can also sign up for the Victory Party ... food & drinks. It's an opportunity to share stories and celebrate with family, friends and other racers!

WHO: The race is for everyone – boys and girls – runners, joggers and walkers - pee wees to adults.
