2012 Billy the Kid Tombstone Triathlon:

  •  This will be one of the most scenic triathlons in New Mexico.
  • Transition will be at the group shelter, near the main boat ramp parking area on the west side of the lake.

    • Course Information:


    Sumner Lake State Park, near Fort Sumner, NM.
  • The swim will be 400 meters in the open water.
  • The 15 mile bike ride will be on the paved road around the lake, over the dam, to NM Highway 60, and back to the transition area.
  • The 3.1 mile (5K) run will start from the transition area at group shelter and then onto paved roads from the lake and out towards Puerto de Luna.
