The Onion Man Triathlon is an olympic distance race at the base of the Blue Mountains. The course is a 2-loop lake swim with an out and back scenic bike and run. The Onion Man Triathlon is a TRI NORTHWEST RANKED race. The race will be timed using the ChampionChip timing system by AA Sports, Ltd
Course Information:
1.5 km 2 loop swim at Bennington Lake. Water temperature will be approximately 63-68 degrees. Wet suits are recommended. 40 km Bike is an out and back scenic ride up Mill Creek Road with a slight elevation gain returning back to the transition area at the lake. 10 km Run will be a moderate course on a gravel road as well as the paved bike path along the river through Rooks Park with no major hills.
Directions:
Coming from Hwy 12, take Walla Walla Community College/Walla Walla Regional Airport exit, (Hwy 12 East turn right on Tausick Way. Hwy 12 West turn left on Tausick Way) Turn left on Reservoir Road and follow the signs to Bennington Lake.
