2012 HITS Triathlon Series - Cooperstown, NY Day #2:
The historic Village of Cooperstown is a small town in the heart of central New York with global appeal.
The second closest multi-distance triathlon to New York City in the HITS Triathlon Series makes this another home run for Tri-State Area athletes.
The course in Cooperstown is a multi-loop race which makes the venue a grand slam for spectators; the athletes swim loops in Otsego Lake, ride laps around the same body of water and the run back along the same country roads frequented by local Amish families.
Families will love all that Cooperstown has to offer in September, from beautiful fall foliage, to the historic Baseball Hall of Fame, to the popular annual Pumpkin Festival.
