The Colonial Beach Triathlon Festival consist of 2 great events set in scenic Colonial Beach. While this race is relatively new to the VTS, 2012 will make the 28th year for these races.
The swim starts out with a 1 loop 1500 meter swim in the Potomac river.
This is then followed by a 40K bike course through mostly rural countryside which is flat in the beginning and end but rolling in the middle.
Upon your return to the beach athletes will embark on a flat, fast out and back 10K course. Athletes will then be treated to a post race feast and can spend the day in Colonial Beach or the surrounding area. We hope you all enjoy this great addition to the VTS.
