Australian Professional Triathlete and 2X Ironman Champion Kate Bevilaqua was the overall woman’s champion at the 2011 Tri at the Grove and praised the event and the venue after the race: "What an incredible location! I arrived race morning and couldn't wait to jump into the gorgeous Cottage Grove Lake. The bike course was extremely well marked, on quiet roads and ended along the lake. And the run, an out and back along the water’s edge! I needed to remind myself that I was in a race and not to get caught up in the beautiful surroundings. A perfect beginner’s race or an opportunity to see how fast you can go on what has the potential to be a very quick course. Tri at the Grove filled early last year so don't miss out on this great event! I won't!"
