Course Info:

Courses are all on closed roads and its a flat run around the lake on a dirt/paved path.
ALL EVENTS HELD ON CLOSED RACE COURSE
The Swim route is in open water. The water temperature is expected to be warm enough that wetsuits won't be necessary.
The Bike Route is paved and will be swept prior to the race. There are a couple of cattle guards which will be covered and clearly marked. The Bike Route is on a rural county road that will be closed to non-race traffic.
The Run Route will be through the Huntington State Park and around Huntington Lake. It is a combination of pavement, gravel, and native soils.

Huntington State Park is 3 Miles North of Huntington Utah On HWY 10.
And 20 Miles South Of Price Utah On HWY 1.

Safety is the FIRST priority at the San Rafael Classic.
Please be aware of and observe our safety policies!
Following our policies helps keep your kids safe!
USAT Sanctions are in effect, and apply to ALL athletes registered for the San Rafael Classic Triathlon.
Lifeguards, EMS Personnel, Search & Rescue Team Members, and State Parks Personnel will observe the swimming events. They will be stationed with rescue vehicles on both land and water.
The Junior Swim is held in a shallow protected bay just east of the boat ramp.
Brightly colored swim caps MUST be worn while in the water.
Kids MUST wear life jackets while in the water.
Only ONE parent or legal guardian is allowed to help inside the transition area, during their kids transition.
Many of the bikes used are very expensive, so there will be absolutely NO loitering in the Transition Area.
Helmets WILL be used during the bike ride.
Helmets must fit, be ansi approved, and buckled while riding.
A 2 minute penalty will be added to any rider caught without a buckled helmet!
Drafting other bikes will NOT be tolerated.
Bike speeds must be controlled at all times.Lodging Reservations
FREE CAMPING FOR ALL REGISTERED ATHLETES AND THEIR GUESTS, AT THE HUNTINGTON STATE PARK CAMPGROUND, ALL WEEKEND!
Complete the following two steps to reserve your FREE campsite.
1. Register for the 2011 SRC on Flatirons timming
2. Contact Utah State Parks Ranger Dan Richards at: (435) 687-2491.
DO NOT use the Utah State Parks Campground Reservation Hot-line to reserve your campsite. You MUST contact the Huntington State Park directly, to make your reservations!
Jr TRI
The Junior Triathlon will begin with a 100 yard swim in Huntington Lake, then continue with a 2 mile bike ride, and finish with a 1/2 mile run through beautiful Huntington State Park.
Junior Triathlon Swim
All courses will be CLOSED COURSES, and the routes provide parents with a ton of great photo opportunities!
The Kids Event will begin immediately after the Triathlon, Duathlon, and Team Relay events are completed.
The Kids get the FREE pasta dinner, and the race packet with their event t-shirt, event water bottle, swim cap, and lots of other goodies!
