2012 Mainiac Sprint Triathlon & Duathlon:
The Mainaic Triathlon is a perfect way to end your tri season in Southern Maine.
The sprint distance consists of a ¼ mile swim, 14.85 mile bike, and 3.2 mile run.
The race starts at 10:00 AM at scenic Gil Boucher Park in Biddeford Pool, ME. The Park is renowned for its beautiful beach and gorgeous landscape. Water temps range from 58-63 degrees depending on sun, rain, etc.
The race promises to be executed to the highest caliber. All registrants will receive a one of a kind Mainiac event tech shirt. Everyone will get a wicked goodie bag and a colorful swim cap. Hot food will be provided, post race Race course support and safety will be provided for with kayaks, police, and friendly and knowledgeable volunteers.

Swim Course
Wave starts on the beach for a ¼ mile counter clockwise swim.
Duathlon Run Course
Duathletes will start at the same time as Wave 1 swimmers.
It is a 2 mile out and back beach run on hard packed sand
2011 Bike Course
After exiting Transition, ride out on
Gilbert Place (a dirt road)
Turn Left onto Mile Stretch Road
Turn Right onto Bridge Street
Turn Left onto Route 9 (Pool St.)
Turn Right onto Oak Ridge Road
Turn Left onto Fox Farm Road
This then becomes Oak Ridge Road
once in Kennebunkport
Turn Left onto Gooserock's Beach
Road
Stay straight and cross over Rt. 9
onto Dyke Road
Turn Left onto King's Highway
Turn Left onto New Biddeford Road
Turn Right onto Route 9
Turn Right onto Fortunes Rocks
Road (becomes Mile Stretch Road)
Turn Right onto Gilbert Place
2011 Run Course
Begin on Elphis Road
Right on Mile Stretch Road
Left on Yates Street
Turn Left on Lester B Orcutt
Turn Right on Ocean Avenue
Right on Bay Street
Left on 7th Street
Right on 4th Street
Left on 8th Street
Left on 3rd Street
Left on 1st Street
Left on Lester B. Orcutt Blvd
Left on Mile Stretch
Left on Gilbert Place
