Serious competitors and casual athletes catch the sporting spirit in what has been called one of the most enjoyable and scenic perennial spring sport events in all of New England. The new Mad Triathlon begins at 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 12th at Sugarbush’s Lincoln Peak base area. The Mad Tri will start and end at Lincoln Peak, and will feature its traditional four legs of racing excitement: Competitors will road run 7.2 miles, paddle 6 miles, pedal
10 miles, and end with an on-mountain 3-mile trail run. The 26.2 mile course weaves its way through the towns of Warren, Waitsfield and Fayston.

Team relays, and ‘iron’ men and women are invited to compete in the Mad Triathlon. A Kids Triathlon will be held 11:30am on the same day, featuring a Mad River Valley School Challenge.-
