2012 New Year’s Day Run for a Healthy World:
Start/finish at Baylands Athletic Center, 1900 Geng Road at Embarcadero in Palo Alto on USAT&F certified loop courses. over Baylands levees and through the marsh lands on mostly dirt roads.
World Runners' purpose is to make a difference in the world by raising funds for programs to end hunger and poverty in the world while advancing lifelong fitness.

There will be a 5K run/walk and a 10K run.
Both scenic courses have spectacular views of the bay and are dead flat, run mostly through the marsh lands on a mix of levee trails, dirt and paved roads.
They both start and end at the Palo Alto Baylands Athletic Center.

The funds raised from this event will support the eduction of young women in Africa and Pakistan, microfinance, and the Second Harvest Food Bank locally.
