2012 Ironman 70.3 EagleMan Triathlon:
Welcome to the Ironman 70.3 EagleMan Triathlon, one of the most popular Ironman 70.3 triathlons in the country.
Once again, this “staple” race is a qualifier for both the 2012 Ironman World Championship in Kona (30 slots) and the 2012 Ironman Championship 70.3 in Lake Las Vegas (30 slots).
This is a true test of both your physical and mental toughness. Please do not consider entry unless you have properly prepared and trained for this challenging event.
The conditions are both demanding and challenging; heat, winds, choppy river, and no shade… strikingly similar to the Ford Ironman Championship in Kona, so please train accordingly.
The EagleMan Aqua Velo event, which runs concurrently with the 70.3, has been named the 2011 and 2012 USAT Mid-Atlantic Regional Aqua Velo Championship event. Participants will swim 1.2 miles and bike 56 miles.
