2012 Columbia Triathlon:

  • Welcome to The 29th Columbia Triathlon, TriColumbia's hallmark event and one of the most challenging and longest running triathlons in the USA. Attracting world-class pros and amateurs from across the country and across the world, this widely acclaimed Olympic distance race had its beginnings in 1984 when 90 triathlon enthusiasts competed.

  • In 2011, The Columbia Triathlon once again provided the triathlon community with an event to remember. The weather was beautiful, and set the stage for a record breaking race.
  • Twenty two professional triathletes competed for the $30,000 prize purse, including 2-time Ironman World Champion, Tim DeBoom. 2010 Columbia Triathlon Defending Champion, Andrew Yoder, took the title again, as he broke both the course and bike records, finishing with a time of 1:49:51.
  • James Cunnama came in 2nd followed by Richie Cunningham.

  • The race course includes a fresh-water lake swim, bike ride through the rolling hills of Howard County, and a run through parkland and local neighborhoods.
