2012 Miracle Match 5K:
Bringing runners from all over the country, the Miracle Match Marathon weekend is sponsored by the Waco Firefighters Association and benefits the Scott and White Marrow Donor program.
Also included in the event are half marathon and 4 person relays.
This is a full weekend event, hosting a 5K and one mile fun run the day before, as well as an expo and pasta party in downtown Waco.
We also have a separate barefoot division and a kids marathon, for which kids log 25 miles of running throughout several months, then run the final mile of their 'marathon' across the suspension bridge to claim their medals.
26.2 miles of Central Texas hills make for a challenging course.
The finish line is just over the historic suspension bridge, making for a fabulous finisher photo!
And as if that is not enough, a Texas size party awaits... fajitas, beer wine, the works. You've earned it!

2012 5K Race Course:
The course for the 5K race of the Miracle Match Marathon begins in Indian Springs Park, along the Brazos River in the shadows of the Suspension Bridge.
Starting at Indian Springs Park, 5 K runners go to Franklin and turn left across the river.
Turning on MLK, runners follow the river walk along the river to Faulkner where they turn and go back on the river walk to the Suspension Bridge, then cross the river to the finish line.
The start and finish lines are located at the suspension bridge in Indian Springs Park.
Past participants have remarked how exciting it was to finish the race by crossing this historic Waco landmark.
