The Nations Triathlon is an Olympic distance race consisting of a 1.5k swim, a 40k bike, and a 10k run.
The 3rd Annual Nations Triathlon was sold out bringing nearly 3,500 athletes to the waters of the Potomac River before biking and running through the Nations capitol, its monument, memorials and history.
The Nations Triathlon is more than just a race it is a weekend full of events for athletes, spectators and volunteers

The 2009 Nation´s Triathlon course route is flat and fast featuring a single loop swim, single loop bike and single loop run.
The swim course is in the scenic Potomac River with the Washington Monument operating as your site line to the swim exit.
The swim start is just a short two minute walk from the transition area.
The bike route takes competitors along the Potomac River and through Rock Creek Park on wide smooth roads perfect for aerobars.
The run route is a challenging single loop into downtown DC past the monuments, memorials and history of the Nations Capital.
This year the finish line has been moved so that it is next to the transition area so that it is easier and more convenient for athletes, their family and friends.
Now from one location you can watch the swim, bike, run and finish!!
