Aquathlon : Swim 1500 meters, Run 3.1 miles
Stroke & Stride Sprint Aquathlon :
Aquathlon : Swim 750 meters, Run 3.1 miles

This extremely popular Thursday night series has become the unofficial weekly social hour for local triathletes. Even visiting triathletes put the Stroke & Stride on their calendars as must-do events while in town.

Participation tops 300 athletes many weeks during the 10 week summer series and notable faces either cheering or competing include Ironman champions, Olympic champions and various national champions from around the world.

This is every local athletes chance to race head-to-head against a world class competitor. It has also been the debut open water swim or multisport event for many first-year triathletes.

Every race is followed by a great spread of food, lively announcers, music and random merchandise prizes. - - -

Course Information:

The Boulder Stroke & Stride enters its 8th season in 2009, and offers Boulder area athletes a fun 1-lap 750 Meter Swim, or 2-Lap 1500 Meter swim in Boulder Reservoir, followed by a flat & fast 5k run on the reservoir dam on 10 Thursday evenings throughout the summer. - - -

Directions:

All events start and finish at Boulder Reservoir Pavilion. The Boulder Reservoir is located on 51st Street in Boulder.

51st Street is located just west of the intersection of the Diagonal Highway and Jay Road.

Turn North on 51st and drive approximately 1 mile. The Reservoir entrance will be on your right. - - -

Discounted "6-pack" entry offered which can be purchased through July 2, 2009.

Shirts with each 6-pack entry. - - -

A point standings will be kept throughout the series, and series awards will be presented to first-place point winners in all 5-year age categories.

You must complete at least 5 full-distance (1,500M swim, 5K run) Stroke & Stride events in 2009 to be eligible for awards, however points will accumulate in your best 8 races.

Points will not be awarded to relay teams or short-course finishers. - - -
