2012 Rocky Mountain Triathlon at Silverthorne:
Join us for the inaugural Rocky Mountain Triathlon at Silverthorne July 31st, 2011.
The race in the shadows of the Gore Range and along the beautiful Blue River.
The swim, bike and run courses make this one of the most breathtaking triathlons in the World.
Test your lungs with the International Distance Triathlon (800m swim, 20 mile bike, 6.2 mile run).
Or try your speed at the Sprint Distance Triathlon (400m swim, 12 mile bike, 3.1mile run).

Course Info:

The swim is a one lap swim for the sprint and two laps for the Int'l, wetsuits aren't required but recommended. Water temps should be in the low 70's.
The bike is on Hwy 9 heading north six miles and then back down Hwy 9 to the transition area. The course is relatively flat and fast.
The run is a mix of roads and groomed trails along the beautiful Blue River. The run is an out and back fully supported. The sprint is a 5k (3.1m) and the Int'l is a 10k (6.2m).

Parking is available at the Silverthorne Elementary School (100 meters north of transition, North Pond Park, Start and Finish Line).
Parking is FREE.
If you park here, you have to remain parked (including spectators) until the bike course is officially closed at 11:30 a.m.
North Pond Park:
North Pond Park is located off of the Silverthorne exit Hwy 70.
Head North on Highway 9 for four miles.
North Pond Park is on the right (east) side of the road
