On August 27, join the Mountaineer Area Rescue Group in Preston County, WV for a 12-hour tour of the daunting backwoods and mountains of Preston County, WV. This course is not for the faint of heart. Other features of the race will include a "Race Widows Workshop," vendors, and awards for all finishers, including special awards and prizes for top finishers.
Specials on registration fees starting in July will feature a discounted registration fee and an opportunity to compete for a completely free entry into the race!

Course Information:
Race participants will be treated to orienteering, running/hiking, and mountain biking; later, participants will be challenged to build a usable raft to paddle portions of the Cheat River, and will face a series of military boot camp themed events. Finally, participants will take their bicycles back across the Cheat River before completing the steep ascent back to the finish line.
Directions:
From Interstate 68, take Exit 15 in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia and set your trip odometer to zero.
- 0.0 mi - Proceed South on WV-26
- 12.4 mi - Pass gas station on right
- 12.5 mi - Turn LEFT onto Caddell St Joe Road
- 15.6 mi - Turn LEFT onto WV 7 East
- 15.7 mi - Make IMMEDIATE RIGHT onto Whetsell Rd#1
- 16.6 mi - Bare LEFT at Country Club Road
- 17.1 mi - Hard RIGHT at stop sign
- 19.3 mi - turn RIGHT at dead end
- 20.7 mi - arrive at start/finish on RIGHT
Signs will be posted on the turns leading immediately to the staging area to assist you.
