Course Information:
This is a flat, fast course that takes participants by the West Virginia state Capitol Building. The event consists of a 4.2 mile run on paved streets with no turns. The 4.2 mile kayak is on the Kanawha River and the 16.8 mile bike is a 2 loop paved course on city streets. The winning time in 2010 with ideal weather conditions was under 2 hours.
The event may be attempted by individuals or teams consisting of 2 or 3 participants. For teams, each leg must be completed individually. Kayaks or canoes may be utilized for the paddle portion of the race.
